about

Los Angeles, CA.– Detroit rocker Mike Skill, founding member and principal songwriter of The Romantics, is back with another new solo track, “My Bad Pretty” June 26, 2020. It’s the follow-up to his highly acclaimed single, “Not My Business”.

Skill is on guitars, bass and vocals, Kevin Rankin (A Flock of Seagulls, Animotion) is on drums and Rick Bain is on slide guitar.
Skill said, “It was the guitar line/intro that I wrote first. I wanted a saucy, blues, garage attack. I imagined a sleazy fifties racy paperback story with a film noir mood. It’s a “Pretty Woman” story but with a disastrous middle and ending. What came out, what you hear and what you get is a “Raucous Rocker”.
“My Bad Pretty” was remixed and mastered by Grammy Award winning Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at legendary Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter) and produced by Mike Skill and Chuck Alkazian.

lyrics

MY BAD PRETTY
By Mike Skill

You break my heart cheatin most every nite
In the Mornin’ wake up and fight
I brought you in thinkin you might stay
Gave you Love and you throw it all away

My my bad pretty, my my bad pretty
My my bad pretty

We shared it all always had nice things
High times New car gold diamond rings
I know for love you just pay and pay
And girl you know that I

Gave you love all my love
You didn’t know what that was all about
All my Soul All my Heart
But you were gone yeah right from the start

Solo

I don’t forget about mistakes that I made
It brings me down with every trick that you
Now your runnin but you won’t far

And girl you know that I
Gave you Love All my Love
You didn’t know what that was all about
All my Soul All my Heart
You were gone yeah right from the start

My my Bad Pretty...
